The community is invited to attend the Heritage Lecture Series, a two-day educational and inspirational event scheduled for February 6 and 7. This year’s series will feature Rev. Betty Whitted Holley, Ph.D., a distinguished scholar, educator, and leader in theological education and accreditation.
Rev. Holley brings an extensive academic and professional background to the Heritage Lecture Series. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Bennett College, a Master of Education and Education Specialist Degree from the University of North Carolina, a Master of Divinity from Payne Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Union Institute and University in Cincinnati.
Well prepared for national leadership, Rev. Holley has chaired numerous accreditation visiting teams and participated in dozens of institutional reviews. She was a member of the Redevelopment Task Force that developed the 2020 Standards, which are currently used to accredit and reaccredit member schools, and she has also served as Vice-Chair of the Board of Commission on Accrediting.
The Heritage Lecture Series is designed to honor legacy, scholarship, and leadership while engaging the community in thoughtful dialogue around education, faith, and institutional sustainability. Rev. Holley’s lectures will offer both historical insight and forward-looking perspectives that speak to the present moment.
The public is warmly invited to attend this meaningful series.
